They're Back....

John and Kristen just got back yesterday around 2pm. They left almost 2 weeks ago to pick up a truck in Gainsville Florida and drive it back to Colorado. They spent some time in Gainsville visiting Bobby, Mary Beth, Nicole, Bobby and Jonathan. Kristen and Jonathan played basketball, and rode bikes. They also attended a few of Bobby's basketball games. On Saturday March 22nd, Uncle John drove up from Ft. Meyers, Florida and picked up John and Kristen and took them back to his house. Along the way they stopped and picked up several flats of strawberries and ate strawberry shortcake. Kristen said it was incredible. Then she colored eggs for the easter bunny Saturday night with Pat.
I got a phone call from her Saturday night around 10:30pm Colorado time and she wanted me to know that she left the Easter Bunny a note. Easter morning Kristen drove everyone to breakfast on the golfcart. She loved driving the golfcart, she said it was her favorite thing she did on vacation. Then monday March 24 John and Kristen headed to Hattiesburg Mississippi to visit his buddy B.J. I told them they needed to stop in the Destin area to see the beach and it's beautiful sand. They did but it wasn't very warm but Kristen did get in and swim a little bit and she brought home some of that sand too! They spent a few days in Hattiesburg with B.J and Ann and once again Kristen was able to drive around on the golfcart that BJ had stored in his garage. She loved driving those golfcarts the best. She also liked sweet tea and tried an oyster. Then they headed towards Baton Rouge Lousianna and visited with Marie and Jerry. John and Jerry fished all day while Kristen played with Marie's grand-daughter Mary Katherine. On friday March 28th John and Kristen drove to Dallas to visit, Joey, Heather, Trenton, John Anthony and baby Kiana. Kristen said she had a wonderful time with Heather, running and making jewerly necklaces for me and she loved holding Kiana and playing with the boys. John and Joey worked on his new truck. John and Kristen left Saturday evening to get in a few hours of driving in so he would not have to drive the entire 12-13 hours on Sunday. They arrived home yesterday and she had many many stories to tell and she had a great time too! Oh by the way the truck looks good! God Bless, -s
